据史料记载，花鼓灯起源于宋，原名红灯，是民间正月十五闹花灯的又一种表演形式。她与龙灯、高跷灯、蛤蜊灯、小车灯、旱船灯、跑马灯都是一脉相承成的。目前，已被申报为非物质文化遗产，冲出安徽，走出国门，成为世界文化的重要艺术品种，号称“东方芭蕾”。
It is recorded in history that Huagudeng Art originated in the Song Dynasty with an original name Red Lantern. It is another form of performing festive lanterns on the Lantern Festival among the folk. It can be traced to the same origin as the Dragon Lantern, the Stilt Lantern, the Handcart Lantern, the Land Boat Lantern and the Racing Horse Lantern. So far it has been submitted as a non-material cultural heritage, it will go out of Anhui and abroad and become an important world cultural art genre ——“Oriental Ballet”.
